What is group counseling?
Group therapy is, at its core, a collaborative, safe and moderated environment designed to replicate the relationships that people engage with on a daily basis. This allows people a way to explore their own relational patterns and barriers in real time, while practicing new ways of communicating and relating.
Group therapy can be helpful alongside individual therapy as it provides a context to put things in to practice, to move from insight to action. It can also be a helpful way to continue growth and risk-taking after individual therapy has ended.
