Laura McKenzie

Laura has always felt a natural pull toward supporting others through life’s challenges. After initially believing she would use her counseling gifts as a lawyer, her path shifted as she spent more than 25 years in the role of a pastor’s wife—an experience that organically placed her in a supportive, counseling role within her community. Through walking with others and navigating her own personal journey of loss, she developed a deep compassion for those facing grief, trauma, and life transitions.

Her own early experiences in therapy brought healing, hope, and personal transformation, and continue to shape the way she connects with clients today. She believes in the power of authentic connection and creates a space where people feel safe to explore the parts of their story that matter most. Her approach is person-centered, systems-oriented, and informed by structural and Bowenian Intergenerational Therapy models.
