
Suguna Mukthyala
Suguna Mukthyala earned her Ph.D. in Counselor Education and Supervision from Duquesne University, Pittsburgh; Master of Arts in Transpersonal Counseling Psychology from Naropa University, Boulder; and a Master of Arts in General Psychology from Osmania University, India.
Over the course of her career, she worked as a psychotherapist in University settings; where she enjoyed helping young adults navigate through one of the important life transitions of their lives. She provided home-based psychotherapy to children and their families and enthusiastically advocated in schools for children with mental health diagnoses. In addition, she taught graduate level courses as adjunct faculty and supervised beginning counselors at Duquesne University. In private practice serving the Bowling Green, KY area, she worked with individual adult clients.
Some of the areas that she specializes in are anxiety, depression, trauma, stress and wellness, grief, and psycho-somatic disorders. In her work, she is skillful at weaving integrative and evidence-based approaches in helping her clients find balance and reduce suffering in their lives.
Among a few things that Suguna enjoys are playing with her cat, hiking, cooking for friends, and learning more about yoga, meditation, and psychology and also doing nothing!
